Attending an online law school, allows students with different goals and different requirements, the opportunity to acquire a legal education. Online Law School programs are designed to meet the individual needs of the students.

Most online law schools offer courses such as the Juris Doctor program. The Juris Doctor program helps develop the skills necessary for researching case studies, analyzing legal problems across a broad range of legal disciplines, understanding statutory and regulatory law, developing appropriate legal strategies for resolving legal problems. Online Law School students also develop an understanding of the responsibility that they have too conduct themselves with civility towards the court and the bar at all times. Some online universities offer specialized programs that help the students develop analytical thinking, intellectual acuity, self-discipline, along with interaction skills. This program is geared towards working professionals in the health field, in communications, education, accounting, etc. Students that enroll in the Executive JD program will receive a number of the same courses that are offered in the Juris Doctor program, these programs are more flexible and specifically focused.

Online Law Schools support utilization of internet technology to exchange information, and aid in the learning process. Generally, a simulated classroom instruction is delivered through combinations of video and discussions, that are conveyed over the Internet. Inter-action between the student and the professor take place via the Internet, as well. Students work through assignments and testing in their home, and then submit them online at their convenience.
